Mission Statement The members of ARTterre, as the name suggests, share a mutual interest in and concern for the earth (terre), encompassing nature in all its forms, and a desire to express this through art. The group works cooperatively and collectively on projects that help raise awareness of the small things that we can all do as individuals to respect and protect the earth. ARTterre group is unique in that its members hail from several different countries, each bringing their own impressions of the world, strongly influenced by their experiences in diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds. These differences are reflected in their paintings via palette, style, scale and content, but what is common to them all is a fundamental celebration of nature, including human nature. The group was simply born out of a circle of like-minded artists gravitating around Lynn Derriman's studio in Mougins, France.
